Ticket #163 – Description
initial v6 1 Mouse handling is only implemented in Gcons. When running on a text-only framebuffer, mouse is not handled and there is no visible mouse pointer.1 Mouse handling used to be implemented in Gcons. When running on a text-only framebuffer, mouse was not handled and was no visible mouse pointer. 2 2 3 Currently there would be nothing to control with the mouse, but this will change when ticket #162 is implemented. 3 Along with the introduction of GUI (compositor), graphical console support was removed. Recently support for graphical console was restored (albeit without the frills) by adding a graphical back-end to the output server. Mouse still cannot be used in console either in text mode or graphics mode. 4 5 Mouse input would be useful in console for controlling UI applications running in console mode (especially since they cannot be controlled using the keyboard, yet). 6
