locfs
locfs, formerly known as devfs, is a special-purpose read-only file system written by Martin Děcký in 2009. It started as a file system which allowed devices registered with the devmap service to be represented in the file system namespace, and clients to connect to the devices using their file system names. In 2011, Jiří Svoboda turned the devmap service into a more generic location service, which lead to renaming devfs to locfs.
